Mekong Restaurant

Description:

  • This typical Canadian oriental restaurant in the heart of Chinatown comes complete with bright red walls, oriental artwork, a large fish tank and an upstairs patio. Popular with a wide range of casual diners, including families, the extensive menu of largely Szechuan and Vietnamese cuisine tends towards the slightly greasy, but offers large portions of hearty pork, beef, seafood, vegetable, duck and fried noodle dishes. Note that ordering here means taking matters into your own hands and writing down your selections on a small notepad found on each table.

  • A couple times a year, a group of friends and I get together reserve a big table and go to town on various parts of the menu! My absolute fav is the Crispy Beef!
