Next door to the Black Thorn , this popular cafe with sidewalk tables under an awning offers a menu of snacks and (mostly light) meals. The fixed-price lunch is composed of soup or salad plus a main course such as a Malaysian lamb curry. Ham-and-cheese sandwiches come with marinated mushrooms and Dijon mustard on a croissant, and there are salads, pita pizzas, soups, pâtés, and pastas. Weekend brunch brings the usual pastries, quiche, and eggs, as well as waffles with a choice of fruit toppings.
