Central Experimental Farm

• This 500-hectare (1235-acre) working farm is hard to miss, as it is situated in the center of the nation's capital. The unique farming laboratory was established in 1887 and boasts a crew of scientists who give farmers and food manufacturers across the country useful information. The federal government runs the research station, and it's free to walk around the extensive grounds and view a variety of animals. Pop by the interesting Canada Agriculture Museum and tropical greenhouse located on the grounds.
