Folly Bridge Inn (The)

Description:

• The Folly Bridge Inn is a proper local, with none of the tacky trappings of some of the more central pubs, yet still both student- and tourist-friendly. From the outside, the Folly looks old and cramped, but inside it is bigger than you might expect. Downstairs is uncluttered by furniture, but you can always sit down if you want to. Upstairs there is a renowned skittle alley—the skittles alone make this a place worth visiting—and private function room. On the first Thursday of every month, there is a beer festival, a chance to taste pints which would otherwise probably never pass your lips.
