- This is very much a local's local and doesn't attract many students or tourists, despite its location near The Plain Roundabout at the bottom of the High Street. It is very quiet—no TV or bar games—and a good place to come for a chilled-out pint with the guarantee of getting a table and the chance to see what an unaffected Oxford pub is like. Don't be intimidated by the fact that everyone inside is a regular customer—they're always very friendly and welcoming.
