• O'Neills is one of those mock-Irish bars that are everywhere but still seem to be going strong. It has the tacky decor you'd expect from a pub designed by a committee, such as faux oak beams and factory-produced lanterns. However, once you've settled in for the night, it can prove to be a surprisingly lively and enjoyable venue. Often playing host to Irish musicians, the premise of O'Neills may be all wrong, but the ambiance is often just what's needed. This is definitely one of the better pubs on the popular George Street.
