The Randolph is a landmark at the corner of beautiful Beaumont Street and opposite the Ashmolean Museum. Built in 1864 in the Victorian Gothic style, it is of a similar aesthetic to many houses in North Oxford, an area well worth a wander round due to its open boulevard-style roads and imposing houses. The hotel's fame means that its prices are verging on extortionate. If you really want to have a snoop around, a cream tea in the tea rooms is a good option, although this too is overly priced and really not worth the wait in the often long queue. The spa downstairs is nice, with elaborate hot tubs and pools and all sorts of decadent treatments.
There are two bars, two restaurants and a pay garage.
