- I always say that it is possible to get anything legal (and illegal) on Cowley Road. Maybe not during the day time however it is an eclectic mix of small independent shops and an array of cafes and restaurants - probably over 25 from Russian, Thai, Chinese, Indian, to a straight forward English. breakfast. Music lovers have the O2 Academy and The Regal music venues as well as two musical instrument shops. Walk down the raod takes about 30 mins and then back again to see students mix with town in a multi cultural and fun atmosphere. The Cowley Road Carnival is also held once a year.
