- Set in a picturesque Oxfordshire village, Le Manoir looks like a typical 15th-century manor house from the outside, but the interiors are a pleasing mix of modern and traditional design. Most people go for the seven-course prix-fixe menu, which even at around 80 pounds a head, is still good value. Beautiful tidbits include morel mushrooms and white asparagus with wine sauce, scallops, fresh crab timbale, gamey pigeon accompanied by a fried ball of foie gras and decadent tiramisu.
