Torpids - Oxford

  • Description:

    • Be a part of the excitement and let the adrenalin gush through at the Torpids, an annual bumps race held on the River Thames. Colleges of the Oxford University compete with each other for the coveted 'Head of the River' crown. A legacy that has stayed on since 1815, this boat race sees about 1,200 participants every year in the month of February and lasts for four days. Every year's starting point is based on the previous year's finishing point.
