Populated largely by part-time residents who can afford not only a local multimillion dollar estate but one in several places around the globe, it comes as no surprise that shopping is a popular pastime in Palm Beach. Chances are you won't be splurging on a five- or six-figure shopping spree-or even could if you wanted to-but you can always dream. For the ultimate in jaw-dropping style (and price tags), start your wide-awake fantasy by window shopping on Worth Avenue, South Florida's version of Rodeo Drive. It's lined with exclusive boutiques complete with places to "curb" your dog (the equivalent of tying up your horse in the Old West) before entering establishments. Even if you can't bring home that golf ball-sized diamond, you can always grab a few small souvenirs of your trip. And if you want to do some real shopping, just head across the bridge to the far-less-tony town of West Palm Beach for deals.
