Day 1 - Palm Springs, Palm Desert

It is not a bad idea to make this your early day for the weekend, since it's a good idea to arrive at the El Paseo Shopping Avenue earlier rather than later. However, you can avoid this problem all together by just calling a taxi and not worrying about parking. Do not focus just on the shops; be sure to look around, take in the beautiful art (it's everywhere, even in the median). Once you have looked through your fill of clothing, it is time to eat lunch at Augusta. Remember it may be best to call ahead and book a reservation. If shopping was not what you were looking for do not worry, the Annenberg Theatre is open for most of the day, so don't worry about time constraints. Once you have finished with the theatre it is time to be transported to yet another fantastic restuarant, Le Vallauris (famous for its French-inspired California cuisine). When you have decided that you are ready for your nightcap or if you want to stay late and enjoy the night life, Melvyn's is the place for you - remember, the appetizers are great.

Day 2 - Palm Springs

Take your time this morning, and when you finally do manage to get out of bed, either call the Viceroy's room service or make your way down to the Citron restaurant, where they have a delightful brunch. After all of the hard work your feet went through yesterday pounding the pavement loaded with shopping bags, it is time to head to The Well and enjoy a day of rejuvenating pampering in the natural hot springs of Palm Springs. When it is time to enjoy your late lunch - or early dinner - there are restaurants located on site at The Well or you can take a stroll to Cava and enjoy the romantic atmosphere. Now that you are rested from your day at the hot springs it is time to head to The Nest, where you can put those feet to use and enjoy the live bands or the beautiful live piano music. It's worth it to order dessert for you and your partner to enjoy.
