Founded in 1945, Lyons English Grille is a British restaurant that's been serving traditional foods in elegant surroundings for decades. A cozy atmosphere is accented with English-themed stained glass windows around large, comfortable booths. Those who love the distinctive flavor and healthful attributes of lamb are often left out when it comes to economy eats but the Red Tomato and Original House of Lamb is determined to change that. Kobe Japanese Steak House is also surprisingly affordable and features traditional Japanese architecture in Rancho Mirage. It attracts and delights visitors who enjoy the coiling dragons, serene bridges and welcoming atmosphere. Ruby's has kid-friendly food in a bright recreation of a 1940s-style diner with cheerful red and white decor. So take a break from the upscale whenever you feel like it - there are plenty of good cheap restaurants here in Palm Springs.
