- The South Course is definitely the more difficult of the two layouts. It too has large, fast, and undulating greens, where placement below the hole is imperative. As with most desert courses, the fairways are wide, but bordered by a strip of rough and then desert. If you hit into the desert, watch out for wild animals and prickly plant life. Hole #4, named "Cliffhanger," is considered the signature hole. However, #10, a picturesque, but relatively easy par four, wraps around a lake as a dogleg left. It is easy for one to be distracted by the scenic beauty of the course, but a lapse in concentration can lead to big numbers quickly.
