Only 1 1/2 miles east of Seaside, along Scenic Hwy. 30A, this comfortable yet classy restaurant prepares exquisite seafood, steaks, and wood-oven pizzas. It's mostly a vacationing white-collar crowd here, but that shouldn't stop anyone from enjoying the remarkable offerings (including drinks from the creative martini menu and wine from the extensive, award-winning list), served up by a friendly and efficient staff. The menu changes daily, but usually available is the fantastic grilled Georgia quail served with creamy grits and sage fritters. For entrees, you can't miss with any of the seafood dishes, such as the wood-oven-roasted snapper with andouille jambalaya and blackened green beans, or the cumin-dusted grouper. If you're feeling more turf than surf, the filet mignon served with roasted-garlic whipped potatoes and a balsamic reduction is excellent. Leave room for such desserts as the luscious molten chocolate torte or the heavenly banana beignets.
