Description:
This restaurant would have the best views on the Amador Causeway if only it didn't front a docking area for monster yachts. As it is, diners are treated only to a peek here and there of the city skyline in the distance. Nevertheless, Alberto's is always packed with tourists, and Panamanians head here for lunch alfresco -- there is a lovely, cool breeze and ample outdoor seating. The menu is ridiculously long, with six pages of meats, pastas, pizzas, and seafood (the best bet is the pastas), but then again, Alberto's does offer something for everyone, and there's even a kids' menu. Peckish diners should try the Alberto's Bandeja, with an assortment of seafood and meat goodies. Despite the abundance of waiters in jaunty striped shirts, service can be erratic, even just plain bad. But most diners don't seem to care because no one here is in a rush to get in and out. There is an indoor dining room, but it's always empty.
