Palacio Lung Fung

Description:

• It's a little out-of-the-way, but this is Panama City's local favorite for, surprisingly, dim-sum breakfast. Most think of dim sum for lunch or dinner, but traditionally the Chinese dine on these delicacies for breakfast. There are more than 40 varieties of dim sum here; order a half-dozen and you won't pay more than $10 (£5). (Incidentally, there is no better hangover cure than a Lung Fung breakfast, so take a cab here the morning after a long night of partying.) After noon, Lung Fung shuts down their dim-sum production line and switches to heartier dishes such as chop suey, chow mein, Pekín duck, and sweet-and-sour jumbo prawns. There are two seating areas, a fast-food area on the ground floor and a more ornate, scarlet-and-gold dining space on the second floor with tablecloths and table service.
