I can't find so mucho information about Hotel Venecia. The hotel location is safe, and clean? a least 3 star.

Hi Marina,
In Panama you will find various hotels with very low rates, however many of them are not in an ideal location. You might want to look elsewhere as the Hotel Venecia area might be o.k.for you to walk around during the day however is still isn't an ideal place for tourists. Hotels in Panama really don't apply the "star" evaluation, so a 3 star is really a 1 star hotel. You might want to look around Bella Vista, El Cangrejo, El Carmen and El Dorado. hello Marina , there a a lot of hotels in panama the area of hotel venecia is located is not sure to walk at nights, but there is clean and a beauty hotel, if you have a guide he can help you.

I CONSIDERE HOTEL VENNETTO ITS A 4 STAR HOTEL RIGHT IN THE MIDLE OF PANAMA CITY WITH ALL THE AMMNITIES A COSTUMER CAN FIND. YULL LOVE IT, AND ITS CLOSE TO THE RESTAURANT CHALET SUIZO WHERE I WOK AS A SOMELIER, COME AND VISIT US.

As per your question, Venecia Hotel is located in downtown area. If you ask me about safety, is downtown!!! Is not the best place to stay but no body will get you into your room to kill you. Of course if you get a room in Bella Vista, El Cangrejo or the Banking District will be better for you. I consider this hotel as 2 stars.

This hotel is an older hotel. it is clean and I would consider it a two star, to its American equivalents. The neighborhood, at night, is not one you want to be walking around in. OK if you're moving around in cabs which are very cheap. Remember that cheap is not always the best way to go.

It is not a 3 star hotel. It may be a low two star. I just read Monica's reply and she is right about the rating system. She is also right about looking in the area's she suggested. Try the Country Inn in El Dorado. If you want to be near the action try El Cangrejo, there are several safe inexpensive hotels near the El Panama and Venetto Hotels. Some go for as little as $45 a night.

I consider this Hotel, fine, if you have a budget limited for stay, and want save to enjoy more. The zone look like red zone, and have something like that, but the police is running all the streets in this zone. Change to Venneto Rd, El Cangrejo Area, or other place, those place are really not so far from this hotel. The cab service sometimes is pain in the XSS, but they are many on call service or this hotel can help you to find one. Believe or not, they are tourist that live around this place, because they enjoy this kind of old zone. Rated this Hotel, well, all the hotels follow a standard, for economy they keep or not, if you are accustom to some kind and in other country is not the same like your, no means that is not rated like that, many hotel try to add services or facilities, to made you stay comfortable. Still, you can book it, if you no like you can change the next day.
