In fact, it is still popular with Parisian couples who take advantage of the offer of a reduced-price daytime rate. No two rooms are alike, with each receiving a style treatment from a different designer – Sophie Calle and Marc Newson are among those who have contributed. Situated near the long-established red-light district of Pigalle, the hotel is popular with the hip and fashionable and lovers on weekend breaks. To ensure no distractions the rooms have no telephone or television, but you might find and iPod dock and a stack of sexy magazines instead. Lunch and dinner are served in the bistro or the tiny courtyard – breakfast is taken in bed, of course.
