- Lao Lane Xang is found in Paris's Chinatown in the 13th arrondissement. The popular Thai restaurant was so successful that the owner opened a more expensive and slightly more chic restaurant across the street. Even so, Lao Lane Xang is no less popular thanks to its low prices, efficient service and authentic dishes. It's absolutely necessary to reserve a table because the restaurant is tiny and crowded. Most of the clientele are repeat customers, each with their own recommendation as to what a first-timer absolutely must try. The Thai food was only average - did not try the Vietnamese food. The atmosphere is nice, but don't expect a culinary experience - just an average decent meal.

This is the closest you can get to authentic Thai food here in Paris, for a very a very reasonable price! I come back here every 1 or 2 months, and it never disappoints me nor the people...
