• Tucked away at the back of a courtyard in the very centre of Paris, this traditional hammam is so small that it can accommodate a maximum of 10 clients at a time. Women may invite men to join them in this initimate setting decorated in Moorish style with mosaics and carved woodwork. Treatments are also traditionally Moroccan, and include black soap body scrubs and massage with argan oil. After their steam and massage, clients are served mint tea and Moroccan pastries. Entry costs about double that of other hammams in Paris, but it is like having your own private hammam. A three-and-a-half-hour "1001 Nights" evening for two people, with exclusive use of the hammam and lots of treatments, costs about 600 euros, but entry and a body scrub for a small group would cost about 69 euros each, with rassoul mineral wraps and massages extra.
