Eglise Reformee Port-Royal

Eglise Reformee Port-Royal - Paris

  • Description:

    • Founded and funded by its first pastor in 1898, the Église Réformée Port-Royal is one of the first wave of Protestant churches widely established throughout France. Inside, an Alcouffe organ (1977) has presided since 2002, and beautiful mosaics composed of enameled tiles coat the walls: 22 of them altogether. These mosaics, representing scenes from Christian theology, reveal Byzantine influence in the church. Many community activities are organized in the church, including religious services and many free concerts presented by the Association des Amis des Concerts de Port-Royal (AACPR) which take advantage of the marvelous acoustics inside the space.
