  One of three Sultane de Saba spas in the Paris area – the other two are at 78 rue Boissière in the 16th and 22 rue Lejemptel in Vincennes – this is palatially appointed, with dark mosaic walls, beaded lampshades and gold cushions. Any women would feel like a sultane (the French word for the wife of a sultan) here. The list of treatments covers everything you might find in a beauty salon, such as waxing (for men as well as women) and facials taking their inspiration from a variety of eastern cultures. So here you can choose from a Balinese moisturising facial or a honey and rose mask with hot towels. Body scrubs draw their inspiration similarly widely from across Asia. What will it be? A Japanese rose and neroli scrub or ayurvedic one or a desert mud mask? Among the massages, a half-hour ginger green tea foot reflexology treatment is intriguing, though perhaps not so exotic as the gold dust, amber and oriental musk massage. Prices are reasonable and various packages of treatments are available.
