• Just as you would expect in the Marais, this is a hammam of high style, which annnounces itself poetically on its website as a "temple dedicated to beauty, well-being and sensuality". Opened in 1995, it was designed by its founder, Eric Benitah, to be a haven of "oriental chic". On entering, you'll find a hair salon, a "pediaspa" devoted to pedicures and manicures in all their forms, and several rooms for beauty treatments ranging from oriental epilation, done with a mix of tepid wax, sugar and lemon, to all the usual facial therapies. From this floor, candlelit stairs lead down to the hammam's steam rooms, sauna and relaxation room. Dressing gowns, towels and slippers are included in the entrance fee.
