I highly recommend La Belle Hortense, rue Vieille du Temple, in the Marais (métro Saint-Paul), specially on evenings from thursday to saturday. A great place for meeting new people and make friendships. Le Petit Fer à Cheval, across the street, is very nice too.

There are three areas in Paris which are well-known for their nightlife: Pigalle near Montmatre; Latin Quarter in the 6th arrondissement, more specifically St. Germain des Près; and the Marais area near Beaubourg Museum.
You might find something which is to your taste in any one of these areas.

of course yo have pigalle but also montmartre la bastille chatelet les halles rue poissoniere les champs elysees.
