Best of Budget Paris - Galleries and Free Booze

Description:

If you are on a budget or just downright broke in Paris... don't worry -- take this list of galleries and head out on a gallery hop. Even the fanciest of galleries are free to walk in and look around and they sport some of the finest in contemporary and modern art. Try to look like you might be buying, you are always better received that way and if you hit the galleries try to hit them on a Thursday night when most exhibitions have their opening nights. Check the websites, many of these openings called 'vernissage' in French are by invite only, but there are plenty that are not and there is always free wine and a variety of snacks. Some galleries with no money have slim pickins' but others have grand buffets. Most on this list are amongst the classier and more well-known of the galleries but literally Paris has hundreds. Rest assured, no one goes hungry for art or wine in Paris on Thursday nights.
