If you're coming to Park City on vacation, you will probably have to accept elevated prices for most goods and services. But if your bank account needs a break, you may consider taking lunch or dinner at any of these great and affordable restaurants - where you can enjoy a filling meal for just a fraction of the cost you would incur dining at Park City's most posh eateries.
When looking at more budget-friendly establishments, you'll need to consider your group size and cuisine preferences. Families with kids or large groups may find the best way to get an affordable meal is to split a few pizza pies. Picky children can order cheese and pepperoni, while the party's adults can get a little crazier with the toppings.
Another go-to, low-cost cuisine is Mexican. And Park City has some excellent Mexican! If you're near Kimball Junction (north of town), try the Loco Lizard Cantina; if you're closer to downtown, head to the Blue Iguana.
Another great genre of restaurants offering inexpensive menu options - and a generous variety of cuisines - is the popular brewpub. Park City has two restaurants fitting into this category. Those downtown can head to Wasatch Brew Pub, which is situated at the top end of Main Street. Or if you're farther north in the valley, head to the Red Rock Brewing Company in Kimball Junction. At either place, one person can order a sandwich and fries, while the other can enjoy a full-blown dinner entree.
Sometimes keeping your bill small isn't the only motivating factor when opting for a cheaper meal; you might just be looking for a quick meal without enduring the time required to dine at a full-service restaurant. In this case, consider picking up a delicious and filling bagel sandwich at the Wasatch Bagel Cafe.
