  • Most people heading to a relatively remote mountain town of just 8,200 people wouldn't expect to find the broad and deep selection of restaurants that Park City boasts. French, German, Japanese, Thai, Mexican, American, and all sorts of high-end, creative fusion fare beat all expectations. But considering that Park City -with it's excellent mountain biking and three world-class ski resorts- is one of Utah's biggest tourist destinations, this shouldn't come as a surprise. Especially when you consider that it's just more than a half an hour's drive from the major Salt Lake International Airport -which receives daily shipments of fresh ingredients. And that it has a median household income of nearly $80K -more than $30K more than in Salt Lake City.

Whether you feel like a casual bite at the Wasatch Brew Pub on Main Street, an amazingly creative southwestern-style dish at Chimayo, a savory and romantic French/ American dinner at Chez Betty, or a contemporary, trendy dining experience at Zoom, Park City has you covered. Especially if you're considering a night at one of the higher end establishments, you should make reservations. Regardless of whether it's a Wednesday night or a Saturday night. Especially in winter, Park City is lively any night of the week -with its population of vacation-goers and second-home-owning residents.

If you can't decide on a restaurant, simply park the car at the top (or bottom) of Main Street and walk the length of it, letting your nose dictate which aromas are the most tempting! And consider taking the city-wide free bus shuttles in case you want to order a bottle or two of wine.
