  • If it weren't for active people, modern Park City would hardly have a population at all. With three world-famous ski resorts, uncounted acres of backcountry skiing, kilometers of nordic skiing trails, and Olympic-quality winter sports facilities, Summit County doesn't just attract athletic visitors - it lures professional athletes and avid outdoorsmen from around the world, many of whom live there permanently. A skier? You have three resorts to choose from. Park City Mountain Resort offers the best all-around variety, and has an enormous ski school that is ready to assist all ages and abilities. Deer Valley presents Utah's most luxurious guest services, whether you consider the valet parking, fine dining, hotels, or perfect grooming. And The Canyons offers an enormous amount of terrain over seven distinct mountains, with notoriously good powder runs and access to backcountry skiing; bring your beacon. Even those not into downhill skiing will find plenty of options during the winter. Nordic skiers can stay in town and visit the Round Valley Loop Trails. Or head to Soldier Hollow, a full-blown Olympic venue, complete with groomed courses, biathlon facilities, a rental shop, and lodge. While at Soldier Hollow, the kids (and adults) can spend the afternoon inner tubing. If they loved that, and want to check out another tubing hill, drive the family north of town to Gorgoza Park. When the snow melts, these awesome ski hills and loop trails turn into perfect terrain for downhill and crosscountry mountain biking, as well as areas for hiking, horseback riding, and general exploration. And don't forget, in any season, Park City has yoga studios and other indoor activity centers. At a loss for what to do on your own? Contact All Seasons Adventures for a guided trip of your desire.
