Little Cottonwoods's biggest, most comprehensive hotel
NileGuide Expert tip:
Try staying or dining at the Cliff Lodge during the summer months. The lodge is not nearly as crowded, but the Snowbird landscape is quite beautiful and hugely enjoyable in warmer months.
- Located at the powerhouse resort that is Snowbird, this impressive, luxury lodge seems to match the ski area in size and services. The first impression guests have of the Cliff Lodge upon entry is a 10+ story, fully open lobby walled with glass facing the slopes of Snowbird. Walking farther inside, they are greeted by high-end restaurants, a spa, on-site shops, and tidy guest rooms.
In 2006, this ski-in, ski-out hotel underwent an extensive renovation, spiffing up its already impressive list of amenities. Its top-tier, top-floor restaurant, the Aerie, serves French-influenced cuisine year-round to the formal crowd desirous of an extensive wine list. Just at the entrance to this restaurant is a more casual, but enticing sushi bar, offering occasional live music in winter. At the base of the lobby sits the Atrium Restaurant, a buffet-style operation that offers families and tired skiers a laid-back meal. El Chanate, the resident Mexican joint, offers Utah's most extensive premium tequila selection.
For relaxation and general well-being, check out the full-service spa and its deep-tissue massage, facial treatments, wraps, and scrubs. Or just take a dip in the hot tub or heated, outdoor pool.
If you have to take care of some business or are visiting on a conference, you'll probably spend some time in the business center, meeting rooms, or ballroom. Get online on the building-wide WIFI, and check your email on the rooftop sundeck.
Those with families should look into the daycare options -or the private and group ski lessons. Rentals, ski lockers, and more are available. Inquire with the staff.
