- Be sure to come here on an empty stomach. The menu at the Butcher's Chop House is huge, with over 50 mouth-watering items to choose from. On offer is a mix of cuisines, including gourmet tacos, pizzas, seafood, and pan-Asian fare. But being a chop house, the emphasis here is obviously on red meat. Steaks, succulent prime rib, and all kinds of chops come out sizzling, with a starch and vegetables on the side. Try the Broiled Lamb Chops, which come garnished with a mint and rosemary demi-glace, complemented by Potatoes au Gratin and jumbo asparagus. The restaurant is located right in the heart of downtown, at the base of the town lift, and offers lovely cherry wood furnishings and views of Park Avenue. Patio dining is available, weather permitting. Reservations are highly recommended.
