  • The Best of NileGuide
  • Looking at it now, you'd never guess that Park City was officially declared a ghost town in 1969. Since then Park City has done a complete 180, revived by skiing, mountain biking, and other sports. Today it is a thriving outdoors town with a host of world-class activities available from downhill skiing to bobsledding. So it makes sense that your choice of "things to do" would therefore be influenced heavily by the seasons.

In winter, there is downhill and Nordic skiing on all kinds of terrain, tubing, and even bobsledding, luge, and skeleton. Park City's most famous summer activity is mountain biking (for a good reason!), but you can just as happily trail run or hike, fly fish nearby, or catch an outdoor concert. In all seasons, Main Street serves as Park City's local center, lined with art galleries, restaurants, and boutique shops.

As a very lively community, Park City hosts numerous events year-round. Check for listings for gallery strolls, concert series, farmers markets, aerial skiing demos, World Cup ski races, and more.
