Description:

Heber Valley Railroad's history goes back to the year 1899 - just 30 years after the completion of North American's first transcontinental railroad - in Promontory Point, Utah. In these days, the only residents of Heber Valley were its early homesteading pioneers. Today this historic railroad employs, among others, two 1907-era Baldwin steam locomotives. These pull sightseeing trains along the original Denver & Rio Grande Western line. Running parallel to US 189, this route tours Provo Canyon and Heber Valley. In addition to its regular tours, the Historic Railroad also offers numerous themed rides during the daytime and evening.
