Description:

• Park City has three different ski areas, and each has its specialty. The Canyons represents Park City's biggest and best powder stashes, as well as some of the Wasatch's best lift-served back country access. With seven unique mountains within its boundaries, The Canyons is one of Utah's largest resort with more than 3,700 lift-served skiable acres. (Powder Mountain, in Ogden Valley, has 7,000 skiable acres, but only when counting those access by snowcat, shuttle bus, and other means.) In terms of vertical drop, it is second only to Snowbird, with 3,190" - that's more than half a mile of lift-served elevation. Located just north of Park City proper, The Canyons Resort is a village in and of itself with full-service hotels, restaurants, shops, and more.
  
  Backcountry skiers should strongly consider visiting The Canyons with a touring kit. This is Park City's most preferred gate to some of Utah's best out-of-bounds skiing.
