Hello Penny, sorry I can't help you. I am in Pahang on the East coast. I have checked for you and it would seem Krystal Suites are more for big families, and that the Vistana is better. For a driver I would suggest a taxi or similar for that length of time. The hotel Limo I'm sure would be expensive.
Why don't you try again for someone in Penang?
I hope you get sorted out, have a good time,
Alan

Sorry, Can't find anything for you.
However, if you mean 'VISTANA HOTEL' ; then, that's a 3***
(3 stars) hotel - the rate should be within US$100.
Perhaps you'll like to check yourself..."www.penang-hotels.com"

I would recommend Krystal Suites because it's more strategically located compared to Vistana Penang. Renting a car a day wouldn't cost more than RM50/USD15 maybe even less. Getting a cab to drive you around for a whole day shouldn't cost more than RM100/USD25 that's the maximium eventhough it actually cost more lesser

Hi there, i am from Penang. Hmm, talking about which hotel is better,it basically depends on your needs. Cause both are located in different directions from Bukit Jambul. I stayed there in Vistana before, i think it's quite good. The room i stayed in cater for families, i.e. it's like an apartment. I am not sure if there are rooms for single or etc though. But i personally think Kristal Suites seems to be nearer to BJ, just personal view.

About the chauffeur service, i don't know about that. But if i were in penang, then i would like to provide you the service though. But, sadly, i am now currently overseas.

Both of hotels are quite okay, you might search through http://www.asiatravel.com/penang.html about the recommendation of other tourist and the info of hotel.

well i can recommend my friend's dad to you, he is a taxi driver at north side of Malaysia. However he is always book by foreign tourist so i am not really sure whether he is available on the date you come to penang. May be you can email me personally and i let you know the detail.

Hi there...I'm from Penang...but based in KL currently. My recommendation to you would be to stay in Vistana, since you need transportation, as its a hotel with all the frills. You would have to inform the front desk of your need for a full day service taxi driver or limo. Vistana is next to a drab shopping mall called Bukit Jambul Mall.

But in all honesty, if you'd really like to experience Penang, I suggest you stay in town. You'd have more choices on food, shopping and transportation. The part of Penang that you've chosen is mostly for business visitors and families who know the area and have transportation.

If you're on a budget, you could try for our local low cost carrier's latest hotel venture, a no-frills hotel - TUNE HOTEL (link below)
http://www.tunehotels.com/tunehotels-city-centre-penang-room.aspx

Or any other hotels in town, Gurney Hotel, G Hotel, Hotel Continental, Hotel Malaysia, City Bayview Hotel..etc.
