• Known to virtually every resident of Perpignan for its well-prepared cuisine, this restaurant resembles something you'd expect across the Pyrenees in Spain. Hand-painted ceramic plates, rugby and flamenco posters, and antique farm implements cover the thick stone walls. Even the long, lively bar is inlaid with Iberian mosaics, and copies of works by Dalí and Picasso seem to stare back at you as you dine. Menu items include four kinds of parrilladas (mixed grills) -- one of the most appealing consists entirely of fish served on a hot slab of iron brought directly to your table. Zarzuelas, paella, and tapas, prepared in the Spanish style, are served as an appetizer. Chicken with crayfish is another regional specialty. It seems appropriate to follow up with a portion of flan.
