Lake Monger Reserve

Description:

  • Lake Monger Reserve just north of the centre of Perth is the most famed Perth spot for seeing the state symbol: the black swan. This urban wetland reserve is home to almost 40 bird species and Lake Monger itself is surrounded by a well-used footpath for walking and cycling. Tourists stop here regularly to see the large population of black swans, which you'll otherwise see on the Western Australian state flag.
