Description:

  • Penguin Island, near Rockingham in Perth's south, can be reached by a short ferry ride. On the island you'll find a sanctuary for Little Penguins at the Discovery Centre, and a breeding ground for seagulls; take a boat ride to nearby Seal Island to watch sea lions lazing on the beach. Tour operators in the area also offer the chance to swim with dolphins and go whale-watching.
