Description:
Don't let being on a budget stop you from enjoying Perth. From Cottesloe Beach west of the centre of Perth, down south to a stroll in Fremantle, or back to the crown of Perth to the glorious Kings Park, Perth's outdoor attractions are numerous and nearly always free. You can also see local, Aboriginal and international artworks at the Art Gallery of Western Australia or take a day hike in John Forrest National Park.
Day Note:
Much of the best of Perth is outdoors - and the outdoors is free! There's no need to blow your budget to have a good time in Perth. Choose from botanic gardens, beaches, national parks and harbours for your stroll, or take it inside to the Art Gallery.

Description:
One of the most popular beaches in Perth, Cottesloe is easily accessible by train and sports a great array of cafes, restaurants and pubs along Marine Parade, the main street nearby. Take a dip with the local early morning swimmers, have a picnic lunch on the sand or on the grass under the pine trees, and watch the sunset over the Indian Ocean in the evening. Regular patrols from the local Surf Lifesaving Club help make "Cott" a safe and fun place to swim.
