Description:

  • Fiume is not a bar you'll stumble across in your travels around Philadelphia. Rather, it's a tiny room situated atop an Ethiopian restaurant (Abyssinia) with no phone and no sign, in a mostly residential section of West Philadelphia. If you do make to Fiume, though, it will be an experience to remember. Fiume is a better-than-average dive-bar, with no tap but plenty of local microbrews, as well as specialty concoctions like the Dead Pirate (a Rogue Dead Guy Ale with a shot of Captain Morgan's rum). The establishment also offers live music a few nights a week, including a popular bluegrass band every Thursday night. If you're looking for a taste of West Philly character, Fiume is the place to go.
