User Review:
- A tiny (or do they call that intimate?) location just off Passyunk Ave. in South Philly - on the "good side" of Broad St. I have to admit that it took me forever to check out Lucky 13, even after years of living 2 blocks away. I am certainly glad I did. Limited but delicious menu, great rotation of beers on tap (they currently have Brooklyn's own Sixpoint Otis, a tasty ale I'd recommend to all beer snobs) and an ok amount of seating... except on occasional Friday or Saturday nights.
They are trying to go for a crusty punk bar feel, but it's actually quite nicer than The Dive or Tattooed Mom. Less of the "hipster" crowd too. In fact, Lucky 13 almost appears to be two separate establishments: a carry-out towny bar up front, and a quaint, classy Philadelphia tavern in the rear. Regardless, I'd suggest checking it out with a healthy appetite and a test for good craft beer or local breweries.
