Village Whiskey

• Village Whiskey is the latest restaurant and bar created by Jose Garces, Philadelphia's own Iron Chef.  The menu is upscale traditional, with burgers, barbecued pork, lobster sandwiches, and a raw bar.  Village Whiskey has a full bar with old-fashioned drinks: on the "Prohibition" menu, you'll find drinks like Satan's Whiskers and the Philadelphia Fish House Punch; move on to the era of "Repeal," and you'll find drinks like the Jerry Lewis and the Sombra, featuring mezcal and walnut liqueur.  The main draw at Village Whiskey, though, is the extensive whiskey menu featuring a full range of American bourbon, Irish whiskey, single-malt scotch, blended whiskey, and rye.  You can even order any of these in one-ounce tasters if you want to try more than just one.
