- Even if you think you know the restaurants in Center City Philadelphia, chances are there are tons of new (and fantastic) ones since last you were here. Many, if not most, of Philadelphia's best restaurants are in Center City, occupying old bank spaces, renovated industrial buildings, and cozy historic rowhouses. New restaurants crop up in Center City nearly every month; the latest ones to get rave reviews often have a crowd of people waiting (sometimes for hours!) for a table.
