- This historic house was built by J. Bancroft Swayne, the pioneer of Kennett Square's mushroom industry. There are hardwood floors throughout, Tuscan columns, period furniture, lead glass windows, wrap-around porch, and two sun porches. Guests may choose from a suite with king size bed and day bed, a room with queen size bed (twin bed available upon request), and a third room with a full size bed and queen size Murphy bed on its own sun room; all rooms have private bathrooms, cable TV, air conditioning, and wireless internet. Walk into town. Stay at this quiet location near all Brandywine Valley attractions.
