• This 1890 carriage house, in the heart of University City, provides the ideal setting for a weekend retreat. Imaginatively converted into a residence in the 1960s, the building retains many of its original features, such as 13-foot-high beamed ceilings on the first floor. The whole cabin was recently redecorated in a "Craftsman Cottage" style, with both antique and modern furnishings. University City offers a diverse selection of dining, entertainment and cultural attractions, and of course Drexel University, University of Pennsylvania and University of the Sciences in Philadelphia.

When you stay at the Carriage House, you have full and exclusive use of the entire building and rates are simply adjusted for 1 or 2 bedroom use. A kitchen, breakfast room, powder room, dining room, and living room occupy the first floor; two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a sitting room are on the second floor.
