  • Cuisines: Mediterranean, Middle Eastern
  • NileGuide Expert tip:

Offering authentic and delicious middle-eastern food and groceries, Bitar's is a great place for takeout or to grab a quick meal.

  • Description:

    • Tucked away in the enclaves of South Philly lies a den of authentic Middle Eastern cuisine known as Bitar's. The Brothers Bitar prepare falafels, shish-kabobs, gyros, kafta (ground lamb and spices) and other items prepared on pita bread. Authentic imported ingredients are used and are available to take home in the marketplace first and restaurant second establishment. Simple sidewalk tables and a few tables inside provide for a casual lunch. Many customers get their selections for take out.
