Description:
The Corner, a collaboration between several Philadelphia restaurateurs, offers modern American comfort food. The menu is small but carefully crafted, with several of Philadelphia's premier chefs working behind the scenes. Entrees are all under $20 and include such items as a beer-brined pork chop, a truffled grilled cheese sandwich, and a catch of the day. Patrons enjoy a warm dining room with tables made from reclaimed wood and an open kitchen. Large windows open onto the street and invite people in from the busy restaurant-filled corridor of 13th Street. The beer and wine selection here is small (and carefully selected), but the bar also offers an assortment of signature cocktails with names like "Wet Hot American Summer" and "Burning in Water, Drowning in Flame." A casual upstairs lounge and rooftop deck are also available.
