Description:
- This contemporary arts center is helping to serve as a catalyst to the neighborhood's burgeoning arts scene, and offers new and established artists the opportunity to present their work to the public. Housed inside the former Crane Plumbing Company building (circa 1905) are several galleries including a space for live music and performing arts called the Ice Box and a large open air patio referred to as the Green Space. In addition to several exhibits are painters, photographers, and sculptors busy at work on their next project in one of the many studio spaces. Admission to all events are free which makes this a perfect place to spend some time while in the city. The only drawback: the complex is closed during the month of August. -Dawn Harvey
