- Founded in 1905, the Philadelphia Canoe Club holds scheduled excursions along local streams and rivers such as the Schuylkill, Wissahickon Creek, and the Delaware. The club is open to all persons that wish to participate in events or training sessions. Pleasant, leisurely trips more conducive to sightseeing are planned along with attempts to conquer the whitewater rapids of the area. A small fee is required for canoe rental via the club. See website for further information.
