- Starting off as a small part-time orchestra performing in a local high school auditorium, Arizona's only professional symphony orchestra now performs annually more than 160 concerts from September to May. High musical standards have brought national recognition and attracted world-class artists to make guest appearances, for example orchestras such as Yo-Yo Ma, Placido Domingo and Andre Watts. The orchestra's principal conductor for pops since 1983 has been the talented Doc Severinsen. Call or visit the Web site for current concert information. Ticket prices range from USD22-48.
